Manufacturing Technician

Position Description:
The manufacturing technician position is responsible for advance assembly of pilot units before release to the manufacturing floor. In addition, this position performs conversion of all model units per customer specifications and reprocesses incomplete units after assembly. This position is part of a self-directed work team that is responsible for timely completion of projects to meet customer deliveries and production schedule deadlines. Candidates for this position must demonstrate a high level of commitment to company objectives, along with the highest level of experience and knowledge of all product lines offered by Generac.
Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical assemblies used across all product equipment to the component level.
Analyze errors in design and assembly and provide detailed corrective actions to Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing Support.
When required, performs in-process and final testing of finished units and subassemblies.
Provides technical assistance and guidance to manufacturing teams.
Assists manufacturing support in process documentation, fixture design, tooling and work content analysis prior to manufacturing release.
Document product performance, functionality, design for manufacturability and part availability on rolling action list.
Communicates rolling action item list to support management during status meetings.
Converts standard product to customized specifications per customer request.
Performs rework on all model units due to part shortages as required.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately.
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate with all members of manufacturing teams
Strong mechanical and/or electrical technical skills.
Ability to perform assigned duties, troubleshoot errors and provide corrective action.
Strong understanding of Win Magi Inventory Management system and production control system.
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of all Generac Mobile Products safety guidelines and procedures
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.
Constantly perform repetitive tasks.
The employee is constantly required to stand for extended periods of time; walk, reach above shoulders; stoop, kneel and crouch.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Frequent pushing and pulling of carts, pallet jacks, and units with up to 50lbs of force.
Constant lifting of up to 50lbs without assistance or equipment.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Frequently work in/around high noise level areas.
Environment is not climate controlled.
(Occasionally=1-25% of the time; frequently=26-75% of the time; constantly=76-100% of the time)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
