Our client is a growing metal and plastic fabrication job shop.
One of their key employees, Estimator / Production Planner will be retiring and they would like to hire ASAP in order to make a smooth transition.
This is a well- established company located near the Fox Valley and easily commutable to Oshkosh and Appleton.
Production estimating and planning skills would be ideal for by our client but even more important is finding a high energy, independent leader with the ability to multitask.
Some training is expected so if you are local, have a bachelors and strong math skills and are out of manufacturing please consider this unique opportunity.
Requirements:
Associate's degree with strong math and reasoning skills3
years' experience in a manufacturing, preferably a job shop environment.
The broader your knowledge of materials the betterSuperior organizational and prioritization skillsCreative team player who is self-directed and a proven troubleshooterStrong computer skills including:
Word and ExcelMust be able to thrive in a fast paced constantly changing environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills used when communicating with customers, suppliers, and all levels of company personnelSkills using and ERP system and AutoCAD would pluses Duties:
Work with customers to determine their needs from informal sketches, written and verbal directions to engineered drawings and specifications then correlate them to company processes & supplier capabilitiesPrepare accurate cost estimates by gathering information from both internal and external sources, calculating time requirements to produce product and determining material cost structuresFrom cost estimates develop production plan, bills of materials and routingsAnalysis of closed jobs for process improvementsUtilized ERP/MRP system in support of primary dutiesThe company offers a comprehensive benefits package and may help with some relocation expenses for a strong regional candidate.
